The Countryside Alliance political team attends the national party conferences every autumn and hosts fringe events and meetings at the Liberal Democrat, Labour, and Conservative conferences. We also attend the spring party conferences in Scotland and Wales.

Our events at the conferences provide an opportunity to debate vital rural issues and bring together politicians, policy makers, and people in the media. We also hold meetings with Government ministers and opposition spokespeople to directly communicate the interests and concerns of rural communities.

We welcome involvement from our members and supporters in our conference programme. Our fringe events are free and open to anyone attending the conferences although a security pass will be required as all of our events take place in the conference secure zones. You can also watch our events live on Facebook or follow on Twitter and take part in the debate from wherever you are in the country.

Details for our 2019 conference programme are below:

This conference season we will have a presence at all three party conferences raising and debating rural issues with parliamentarians, delegates and policy makers.

Our season will start on 16th September in Bournemouth at the Liberal Democrat Conference where we will meet with key parliamentarians.

We will then go to Brighton on 22nd September to host our fringe event ‘Unpacking Environmentalism’ at the Labour Party Conference.

Our season will end in Manchester at the Conservative Party Conference . There we will host three separate events starting on Sunday 29th evening and finishing on Monday 30th September.

Our fringe events at Labour and Conservative Conference will be inside the secure zone, so you will need a conference pass to attend. Please also note that our meetings at Liberal Democrat Conference are private.
